The Inflammation caused by chronic mouth infection irritates the arteries of the heart, making them more susceptible to plaque buildup. The bacteria from the mouth enter the bloodstream and can attach to plaque in heart arteries.
Bottom line? floss at least once a day, brush your teeth twice daily, visit the dentist, don't smoke, and eat a balanced diet.
